Lincoln M. Brabrook, 81, a longtime resident of Bronxville, NY, died on Monday, May 17, 2010.

A veteran of WWII and the Korean War, Linc graduated from Northwestern University and retired as a senior loan officer from Chase Manhattan Bank in 1986.  He worked primarily in Chase's aerospace division and was regional manager for the Eastern Airlines account.

Linc leaves behind a wife, Mary, two children and three grandchildren. He will be buried with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Ma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans organization.

From Mike Hogan: "I met Linc Brabrook in 1983. Michel Kruse ran Aerospace, and I got the team leader slot after John Koca left. Kruse told me that Linc was very important to him. He was atypical in the Corporate Bank. He was about twice the age of the other team members, except for me. He represented continuity and was greatly trusted. Younger officers used him as a confidante.
     "His main job was RM for Eastern Airlines. This involved running the syndicated facility and ensuring that it was both available and permanently undrawn. Linc ensured that strange relationship was pretty much frictionless, which suggests the second reason why Michel Kruse valued him so highly. In those times, Aerospace had enough credit problems to sort out. This strategy also pushed Eastern, under Frank Borman, to cut costs and raise cash.
     "I remember him as a man with great judgment and a lovely laugh, with a liking for a rye Old-Fashioned, along with grilled sword fish and fries. Good company, good man, sorely missed."
