In Memoriam: Jean-Claude Foucault

Manager for Chase Paris for 23 Years

From Jean-Louis Gleizes, Paris:

Jean-Claude Foucault joined Chase in Paris in 1968.

At the time, he did not have many qualifications, but, with the support of Hervé de Carmoy, he quickly trained himself in the banking profession. He proved rapidly that he could master all operational matters.

He started as a simple employee in the back office, where he would become manager. He then successively headed Operations, Accounting and the Comptroller's office. All along, he was very involved with the elaboration of EDP support and solutions. He left Chase in 1991.

After a short assignement with ABN AMRO in Paris, he retired for health reasons in 1995. He subsequently moved to Nantes, where he passed away on November 7, 2014.

Hard worker Jean-Claude was strong in training, always ready to help and counsel new employees. He was also active in the branch soccer team.

He leaves his wife, Alice, and daughter, Audrey.
