In Memoriam: John Hugh Smith, 67
Former Financial Analyst at Chase Manhattan
John Hugh Smith, 67, died on March 17, 2023 in Bronxville after a lengthy illness stemming from COVID-related complications. He had been a senior financial analyst at Chase Manhattan.
Smith wasaised in the Morris Park section of the Bronx, and earned a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from the City University of New York and Manhattan College, respectively.
Devoted to his parish and community, Smith served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Margaret of Cortona Church for a number of years. He was also a member of the American Irish Association of Westchester County.
Among his survivors are Mary Patricia (née Marshall), his wife of 35 years, and two sons.
