David R. Savage, a Managing Director in Chase Manhattan Bank's Petroleum and Energy Group in the UK from 1990 to 1992, died in his sleep unexpectedly of a heart attack May 22, 2023. He was 79 and lived in London.
Born in the United States and raised in upstate New York, he was a graduate of the University of Rochester and Harvard Business School.
He moved to London with Deutsche Bank in the early 1980s. After leaving Chase he returned to Deutsche Bank and moved to Frankfurt, Germany, for 19 years. He was subsequently head hunted by Commerzbank and was Global Head of Corporate Finance.
He was CFO for First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. for three years before founding his own consulting and advisory services firm in 2010, David Savage Associates.
