In Memoriam: Dorinda Oliver, 81
Pioneering Female Banker at Manny Hanny

(from death notice in The New York TImes)
Dorinda Jane Oliver, the first woman put in charge of one of Manufacturers Hanover Trust's bank branches, died September 21, 2024, in Langhorne, PA. The long-time New York City resident was 81.
A graduate of Mount Holyoke, Class of 1965, and Columbia Business School, she joined the MHT executive training program in 1970. By 1973, she was a Vice President, one of the first women to hold that position at any bank in Manhattan, and eventually led the Established Wealth Groups within Chemical's and Chase Manhattan's Private Banks.
Following an early retirement, Oliver served on the Board of Directors of the Archaeological Conservancy and as a General Trustee of the Archaeological Institute of America, and traveled throughout the world, reveling in each new culture and adventure.
Survivors include a sister, brother and two nieces.
