In Memoriam: Thora Levy, 85
HR for Chase in Tampa, Elsewhere
Thora Levy, who headed various areas in Employee Relations and Human Resources Service Centers after joining The Chase Manhattan Bank in 1985, died unexpectedly in December 2024 (date unknown) shortly after her 85th birthday. She was a long-time resident of Palm Harbor, FL, but had moved fairly recently to Land 'o Lakes, FL.
Prior to joining Chase, she worked for PanAm in Human Resources.
Both she and her husband were past presidents of Christos Ministries, which supported projects in Jamaica. In 2018, the Montego Bay High School for Girls in St James, Jamaica, dedicated the Thora Levy and Dahlia Hewling Robinson Building, which created new classroom spaces.
Among Levy's survivors are her husband and a daughter.
A memorial will be held in January 2025. We will add more information as it becomes available.
