In Memoriam: Philip King Wickham, 83

Worked for CMB in Middle East and Southeast Asia

 
 
Philip King Wickham, who spent 25 years as a commercial banker for Chase Manhattan Bank in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, died on December 23, 2024. He was 83 and had been living in Shawsville, VA, where he'd grown up and gone to high school.

He earned a Bachelors Degree in banking and finance at the University of South Carolina and became a banker after serving with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in the Vietnam War.
 
He later retired from banking and in 1991 moved back home to Shawsville, where he enjoyed farming, fishing, family and friends.
 
Among his survivors are his wife, Georgette Kim Wickham; two sons, a daughter and four grandchildren.
