Began career in Chase Legal's National Expansion group
Jerry Lovejoy, 70, died on November 15, 2023 at his home in Goodyear, AZ, outside Phoenix. Lovejoy began his distinguished corporate law career as an attorney at Chase Manhattan.Born in Kingstree, SC, Lovejoy was a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School.
He worked in the National Expansion group in the Chase Legal Department in the late 1970s/early 1980s before leaving to join Pepsi's Legal Department in 1984. He later served as Division Counsel for Taco Bell, General Counsel for Baskin-Robbins, Division Counsel at McDonald's, General Counsel at The Men's Wearhouse, and Senior VP and General Counsel for El Pollo Loco.
Survivors include his wife, Alejandrina, a son, a daughter and three grandsons. He was predeceased by a son.
