David S. Fleu, 73, of Palm Coast, FL, a former Senior Vice President at Chase, died unexpectedly at his home on January 23, 2024.
Born in Orange, NJ, he graduated from Wayne Valley High School in 1968 and earning a Bachelor's Degree from West Virginia Wesleyan University in 1973. Fleu began his professional career in Finance in Pittsburgh, PA, befire moving to New York City, where he joined Manufacturers Hanover Trust in 1982. He worked in Corporate Technology and the Corporate Controller's Office, retiring from Chase in 2005 as a Senior Vice President.
Fleu loved to cook, and, after retiring from JPMorgan Chase, he attended The French Culinary Institute at the International Culinary Center in New York City, graduating in September 2008. He moved to Palm Coast in 2010.
The "love of his life", Jan Kovacs, died in 2019. Fleu was survived by a sister, her husband and their children.
