Richard (Dick) W. Mautner, who worked for Chase Manhattan Bank in Iran, Vietnam and the United States in International Institutional between 1965 and 1987, died on January 5, 2025 at Stony Brook Hospital, in Stony Brook, NY. Mautner was 83 and had been a resident of Greenport, NY.
Born on Staten Island, NY in 1941, he became an Eagle Scout as a teenager, graduated from New Dorp High School and soon thereafter joined the U.S. Navy.
After leaving Chase, Mautner worked for Investcorp.
He and his wife mostly raised their children in Lynbrook, NY, with stints in Tehran and Athens.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Marie Kilar Mautner, three daughters, a son and 10 grandchildren.f
