In Memoriam: Bruce Bone, 78

Worked at WAMU, Bank One and Chase as Mentor  

 
 
Bruce Bone, 78, who worked for Washington Mutual Bank, Bank One and mentored many during Bank One's merger with Chase, died on June 17, 2025. He lived in Parker, CO.

Bone studied biology at Wittenburg University before earning a BS in Accounting at the University of Akron, in Ohio.
 
Before joining Washington Mutual, Bone was a senior manager at the accounting firm of Chilton, Stump, Davario, and a supply chain consultant at Ernst & Young.
 
He began with WAMU in St. Louis, MO, in approximately 1978. According to his wife, Cheryl, he worked for WAMU/Bank One/Chase in St. Louis from 1978 to 1987 and from 1988 to 2013 in Dallas and Denver. From 2003 to 2014, he was a Vice President, Performance Consulting, at Chase.
 
He later became an independent supply chain and logistics consultant and had an executive search firm.
 
Remarkably, he had Muscular Dystrophy for 43 years, and, said his wife, "He never slowed down."
 
Among his survivors are his wife, Cheryl.
