Enda Carey, 58, died on October 7, 2025 in Newcastle Co. Wicklow, in his native Ireland. Carey started at Chemical Bank in London in the early 1990s as a contractor and left more than 15 years later as Vice President in Global Bank Finance Management Accounting, taking on various roles in between, including supporting the launch of Chase Business Services (CBS) in the early 2000s.Born in Ireland, Carey was a graduate of Dublin's College of Commerce.
After leaving JPMC, Carey spent 17 months in Hong Kong as a technology consultant before returning to New York and joining AIG, where he worked in Tech and Operations and Operational Risk Technology.
Carey was an avid traveler and, as a 2002 article in The New York Times reported, an early adapter of planning trips and buying tickets on the Internet.
Among his survivors are his two children, Liam and Siana, his father and three siblings.
Donations in Carey's memory are welcome at Mental Health Ireland.

From Lorraine Fischer: I met Enda after he started at Chemical Bank in London around 1994 in Global Bank Finance. That would be the beginning of over a 30-year friendship, with our paths crossing many times.
Later, Enda relocated to New York. He was a top performer from the start and was awarded the first cohort of Chase’s Excalibur awards recommended by Don Layton, EVP of the Global Bank, around 1998 for his amazing contributions to the business.
Our paths would cross again when Enda joined my team in Central Tech & Operations and then again in Chase Business Services. Enda innovated and drove efficiency across so many areas, a quiet, humble contributor, never seeking credit or focus on himself.
In 2007, Enda joined my team in Tech & Ops Finance at AIG, and we worked together for another 10 years in New York. I remember how Enda loved to travel. He never had a day off just to relax, he always used every precious day to visit some city/country around the world. Those were happy memories of how I remember Enda.
Enda, may you RIP
From Mary Molloy: I was very sad to learn of Enda Carey’s passing. I had the good fortune to work with Enda over many years. I first met Enda when he joined our Finance team in New York supporting the launch of Chase Business Services, led by Liz Flynn. Enda was way ahead of his time leveraging technology and bringing efficiency to whatever process he touched. What I remember most about Enda is his quiet demeanor – never one to look for credit. Everyone liked to work with Enda.
Enda was a globetrotter. Every weekend there was a trip planned, whether to the Brazil Carnivale or his beloved Ireland. 🇮🇪 We loved hearing about Enda’s adventures.
After Chase, Enda joined AIG in 2008 working under Lorraine Fischer. Many other Chase alumni joined the group, and there was great comraderie. We had many of the best memories and celebrations in Brady’s Pub. I got to work with Enda again in AIG’s Operational Risk function where he did his magic once again.
But most of all, Enda loved his kids. Liam and Siana. Godspeed, Enda. RIP.
