In Memoriam: George Lacen, 90
Operations Manager at Chase, in United States and Abroad
George Lacen, a veteran manager for Chase Manhattan Western Hemisphere Operations & Systems between 1965 and 1993, died on February 21, 2026. We are waiting for additional information and confirmations, but we believe he was 90 and lived in Naperville, IL.
Lacen spent his 28 years at Chase working in domestic branches and in its International Department, as an operations manager for Panama, Argentina, St. Croix, Barbados, the Dominican Republic, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After leaving Chase, he was a manager for loans and letter of credit operations at the Amalgamated Bank of New York.
His survivors include a daughter.
