In 1988, he joined DialAmerica Marketing in Mahwah, NJ.
His Catholic faith was the foundation of his life. After retirement, Fischer served Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as a eucharistic minister and altar server for daily and funeral masses. He found incredible purpose serving communion to the residents of Ridgewood Center.
Fischer fought aggressive colon cancer for more than two years, defying all expectations. Among his survivors are his wife of 55 years, Julie; two daughters and a son, and seven grandchildren.
