CAA Houston Throws First Event
Great Start for New CAA Chapter
What a night of fun
was had, brimming with Texas-sized memories, when former Chase colleagues came
together for the first CAA Houston chapter event on
September 24, 2009. More than 200 people attended, catching up on their lives and sharing stories of their Texas Commerce Bank careers.
Former Texas colleagues came to Houston from all across the United
States for the evening, which was held at a local Mexican restaurant known for its
festive atmosphere. Ken Jablon, CAA vice president and New York chapter coordinator, and Bill Zaffos, the coordinator for the new Houston chapter, welcomed everyone
and spoke of the goals of the CAA and membership.
Bill also thanked the event's sponsors for donating the wonderful door
prizes, which added excitement to the evening.
Houston-based Texas Commerce Bank was acquired in 1987 by Chemical Bank, which subsequently merged in 1996 with Chase Manhattan Bank. In 2000, Chase merged with J.P. Morgan to form JPMorgan Chase − the current brand for former Texas Commerce Bank activities.
