In Memoriam: Edward "Skip" Doyle, 77

Ran "Eurodollar 'South'" in the Bahamas

Edward F. “Skip” Doyle, Jr., 77, of Park St., Newport, RI, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 after a brief illness. Born in Rochester, NY, on May 10, 1932, he was the son of the late Lt Col Edward F. Doyle, USMC, Ret. and Mrs. Helen (Culhane) Doyle.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Wharton Business School, Skip was a Fulbright Scholar and United States Marine officer before working for Chase Manhattan Bank for over 26 years, many of them as manager of Nassau Eurodollar "South" (in the Bahamas) during the '70s and '80s.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; his two sons and their wives, David and Jennifer and Culhane and Bethany; his two grandchildren, Aidan and Ronan; his brother Donald; his niece and god-daughter Colleen; and his grandnieces Katlyn and Allison Feder.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Toys for Tots.
