Chase Alumni: New By-Laws, Annual Meeting

Dear Reader,

The April 24th NYC reception will serve as our Association's Annual Meeting. Two items are on the agenda: Adoption of a new set of by-laws, and election of the Board for a three-year term.

Click below for links to the following items pertinent to the Annual Meeting:

  • the new proposed by-laws, as well as a copy of the old by-laws;
  • the slate of directors;
  • a bio for our newest director, Mary Molloy, and
  • a proxy you can return by e-mail, fax or post if you are not attending the meeting.
Your Board felt that the original by-laws were out-of-date and unduly complicated (as well as frankly unfulfillable). They were created in a time before e-mail and our Web site, when the three founders of the Association were not sure how the CAA would evolve. The Board believes that the proposed by-laws will provide the flexibility the CAA needs, while guaranteeing good governance and proper stewardship.

Of course, the New York event will remain primarily a social and networking occasion. With two weeks to go, at least 160 alumni have registered for the April 24th reception. Remember, you save about 40 percent on admission (and time at the door) by pre-registering. Please click on the story below for the details, and look at who has already registered to attend. NOTE: Kosher for Passover wine and hors d'oeuvres will be available for those alumni observing the holiday.

LONDON: For the first time, we're offering pre-registration online for a London event — the June 5th reception at Bow Wine Vaults. Online registration is available for CAA members and offer a near 50 percent savings over paying at the door. The reception itself is open to non-members. Click below for details.

And remember: This coming Sunday is the Thomas G. Labreque Run as One in New York City.

As always: If the links below do not work for you, you can always access the latest stories by logging on to CAA's Web site (http://www.chasealum.org). If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to Ken Jablon (jablonkt@aol.com) or call Ken at 212-799-9525.

By the by: When you click into the stories below, don't forget to explore the rest of the CAA Web site. Just go to the top of the page and click on Home.
