Chase Alumni: Register for 1CMP Event, Plus PENCIL and Credit

Dear Reader,

More than 100 CAA members signed up on the first day registration opened for the CAA Fall reception, to be held this year on the 60th floor of 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza. A week later, the count is more than 120.  In the last few years, the event was sponsored by JPMorgan Chase and free to members.  Without that support this year, the CAA will subsidize half the cost; members will be asked to pay $25 per person. (The event is for CAA members only.) For details, please click below.

An early 40th reunion luncheon is being organized for the Credit Class I (June 1970) on the same day.  Click below for information.  A number of alumni have asked about having reunions for other Credit Classes.  A coordinator for the luncheon/reunion must come from within each class; the CAA will not organize it for you.  Contact Ken Jablon if you want to take the initiative.

As promised, we're re-introducing "Life After Chase" for sharing news about new jobs, new ventures, retirement activities, milestones, etc.  Any day now there will be a new "Life After Chase" button on the CAA Home Page Menu.  Under that heading you will find both short items and the longer feature stories.  This week, read what John Benevento is doing to help a New York City public middle school, through the not-for-profit group PENCIL, which also sponsors the "Principal for a Day" program.

÷

Send items for "Life After Chase" to news@chasealum.org and remember that these items can be viewed by anyone; they are not restricted to CAA members.  If you have a new e-mail address or phone number or such, that information should be entered within your directory listing, which can only be seen by your fellow alumni.

The inaugural CAA Houston event on September 24 was a great success, with more than 250 people attending.  Tune in next week for a story and photos from the reunion.

Save the Date!  The CAA London Holiday gathering is set for Wednesday, December 2, 2009.

Finally, our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Laiyee Ng.  A link to an "In Memoriam" is given below.
