Chase Alumni: A Gain for Quality, Two Losses for Planning

Dear Reader,

Only two* places remain for the CAA Netherlands reunion, as of the evening of February 2nd.  Registration is first-come, first-served. (*Actually, we can accommodate one more couple and one more single or three singles.)

Because we are allowing members to register through four gateways (single/double room, payment in dollars or euros), we need to close the registration mechanism manually.  In the event we have met our 60/61-person limit but you are still able to register online, your name will go on a waiting list instead and any money paid will be returned. If that happens, we will advise you by e-mail as soon as possible.  If your name appears on the “Look Who’s Registered” list (note that there may be up to a six-hour delay for your name to make the list), you have successfully registered and do not have to worry about the waiting list.

###

We mourn the passing of two Gerrys – the legendary Gerald Weiss, former Chief Planning Officer of the Chase Manhattan Bank, and Gerard Sciorilli, who held a senior position in strategic planning as well as in other functions during his years at the bank.  Anyone wanting to share personal remembrances of either gentleman should write to news@chasealum.org.

We're pleased to be running our first "Life After Chase" from a member in our new Houston chapter.  Click below to read about Ambrose Akpotaire's new book and new business.

Two Chase training classes are thinking of planning reunions, and their coordinators want to hear from possible attendees:

  • Members of the 13th Special Training program, who graduated in spring 1959, should contact Bob Weeks (RDWeeksJr@aol.com)

Save the date for two big spring events: the New York spring reception on Thursday, April 22, 2010 and the London get-together on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.

We hope you have taken a moment to read about our Web site's new menu bar, offering easier ways to find news, Life After Chase articles and special Member resources.  Click below to read about the changes.

###

Please send ideas and items for future editions of "Life After Chase" to news@chasealum.org.  We will develop some into full-blown articles, while short items will be added to the "Life After Chase" blog as they come in. Remember that the blog items can be viewed by anyone; they are not restricted to CAA members.  If you have a new e-mail address or phone number or such, that information should be entered within your directory listing, which can only be seen by your fellow alumni.
