Chase Alumni: Plane, Gondola and Camel

Dear Reader,

We asked for stories of members dislocated by the recent volcanic ash cloud over Europe, and two replied. We also asked for pictures of camels taking you and your luggage from Frankfurt to Strasbourg, and Carrie Adrian complied with photos of camels in India from a trip that required adjustment due to labor disputes. CAA Frankfurt is changing guard: May 26th is the last event to be hosted by Peter Gatti. Dr. Rolf Stokburger will succeed Peter as chapter coordinator. We will pay tribute to Peter and his assistant Christine Schmidhuber in an upcoming newsletter and article, but why not shout out a thanks to them now as well?

The CAA London spring reception is less than two weeks away -- Thursday, May 27, 2010. So far 10 members have taken advantage of the online pre-registration discount.

Members who have registered for the CAA Netherlands reunion are reminded that they have until June 15, 2010 to pay the balance of the trip fee. Please click on the article about the trip below for payment information. Note that there's still room for one more single. If you are part of a couple wanting to join the waiting list, please contact Ken Jablons (jablonkt@aol.com), and let him know whether you would be paying in U.S. dollars or euros.
