Chase Alumni: London, Chase Military Banking History, New Yankees Tix

Dear Reader,

The registration deadline for the Wednesday, May 25th CAA London reception is today, Monday, at noon (GMT). Pre-registration is required for security reasons. Remember: This is a members-only event (but the reception is free, thanks to a CAA subsidy).  Join the more than 45 alumni – including 20 new CAA members! – who have registered. The reception will be held at the JPMorgan Chase headquarters in London, at 125 London Wall.  If you're not a member of the CAA and you've been accustomed to simply showing up at a reception and paying at the door, that is not an option for this event.  Learn more by clicking below.

Hiroshi Aiko, who was with the Chase Military Banking Facilities (MBF) in Japan for 26 years (and former head of CAA's Tokyo chapter), David Bravender, former head of the Chase Mililtary Banking Division (MBD), and Bravender's colleague John DeCicco have written accounts of the MBF/MBD chapter of Chase's history.  Although most of the manuscript is focused on Japan, an appendix describes Chase's evacuation from Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War. Click below for a link to the manuscript.  If you have additional reminiscences or information, please send them to news@chasealum.org.

Save the Date!  The fall CAA NYC reception will be held Thursday, October 27, 2011 on the 50th floor at JPMC's 270 Park Avenue headquarters.

EXTRA! EXTRA! Due to a reservation cancellation, we now have four excellent half-price tickets for the June 15th Yankees home game against the Texas Rangers.  The tix (for four contiguous seats) are $37.50 each. (We also still have two single half-price tickets – @ $37.50 and $28.50 – available for the CAA outing.) If anyone is interested in purchasing either or both, please contact news@chasealum.org.  A reminder to CAA members who have reserved tickets: Please pay for them now.  If you have problems paying online, contact the same e-mail as above.
