Chase Alumni: Economic Greatness & Personal Madness + Online Registration for NY and Houston Events

Dear Reader,

Sylvia Nasar's un-dismal book on the great economists, Grand Pursuit, and Jared Dillian's raucous memoir of the Lehman Brothers debacle, Street Freak, come out today, September 13, 2011.  Click below for reviews.  Any members interested in reviewing books on economics, finance and business should contact news@chasealum.org

Gary Heinze has added to our reminiscences of 9/11 with a remarkable account of how a flood in his apartment that made him late for work may have saved him from being a victim of the attack on 2 World Trade Center, where his office was. Click below for Gary's  story.  By next Sunday's newsletter, incidentally, we hope to be able to add the pictures Gary took with a disposable camera as he was running from the wreckage.

We're hungry for news and story leads for Life After Chase. Are you working with an interesting not-for-profit, either on staff or as a volunteer?  Have you "reinvented" yourself since Chase?  Do you have a hobby that has taken over your life and energy?  If you think you have a story, please contact news@chasealum.org. Please note, though, that we only run stories about paid-up CAA members.
