Want to Join Us in July 2007 in Bend, Oregon?

Dear Reader,

One of the things we do best at the Chase Alumni Association is to bring friends and colleagues together! We do it regularly at the local chapter level, and we try to do it on a more global basis whenever the opportunity presents itself. The Hungarian Experience currently being planned for October 2007 is one such trip.

Now we are considering hosting a long weekend in the high desert country of Bend, Oregon, in the northwest United States.

No fewer than three of our CAA members have been captivated by this area and now spend much of their time there. They have offered to pull together a program that will fill the daylight hours with the wonders of Bend and its surrounding countryside. Evenings will be arranged to provide ample opportunity for our members to relax and thoroughly enjoy one another’s company.

Here is a sampling of what the gathering might include. (Please keep in mind that the actual program will be designed by you as a responder to the survey below.)

Day One: After arrival and settling in at a local Bed & Breakfast or other welcoming accommodation in Bend, meet up with the other attendees for cocktails and a relaxing dinner at a local restaurant. Receive a general introduction to Bend and the surrounding areas.

Day Two: Experience the great lifestyle of Bend in a kayak OR on horseback OR both! Play tennis in the afternoon…or gather your courage and try rock climbing. When the sun sets, head to a fabulous local museum for a private dinner and tour of the exhibits.

Day Three: Tee off at one of Bend’s nine golf courses (or one of the 20 more within an hour’s drive) OR take a half-day boat ride on one of the area’s most beautiful lakes. But be sure to leave plenty of time to take a drive and see the local natural wonders: lava tubes, scenic highways, and a volcanic national park. Then head over to one of our member’s spectacular ranch. Settle in for dinner as the sun washes over the Cascade Mountains beyond. Enjoy a glass, or two, of Oregon’s award-winning wines as the stars light up the evening sky.

Day Four (if you decide there is a fourth day): Do some white-water rafting OR trout fishing…OR take in the majestic rock formations…OR the wildlife at yet another nearby national park! Meet up with a small group of friends for dinner OR join the larger group to bid farewell to fabulous Bend and the friends you made there.

It’s all up to you, so please take a few minutes and complete the six-question survey. It will help us to measure the level of interest…and design a trip. Here is the link to the survey. Just double-click on it and your browser should automatically open the survey. If that fails, you may copy the link below and paste it in your browser's address field.

Please let us have your feedback by October 1st.

We will share the results with you…and hopefully the final details for what could be our most exciting gathering to date!

Thanks,

Your CAA Board
