Chase Alumni: It's Getting Closer! + Yankees, John Hartwell, Reunion Headcount Needed & Run for Fun

Dear Reader,

Today's "click below" links:

Less than two weeks away: Online – and discounted – registration is available for the spring members-only CAA reception in NYC, to be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the 3 West Club, 3 W. 51st Street, NYC. Save $23.50 on the price at the door by registering now! Online registration is available until 11:59 pm on Tuesday, April 30.

Online registration is also available for CAA Night at the Stadium – Wednesday, June 26, 2013, NY Yankees vs Texas Rangers. This year we've secured much better seats – discounted to $80 – in the "Jim Beam Suite" seats behind home plate. Tickets offer access before and during the game to the Jim Beam Suite. Free unlimited popcorn and peanuts, too! You have to be a dues-paying CAA member to participate and can buy up to four tickets. We only have 60 seats, and 25 are already taken, so reserve now.

Read about John Hartwell's Life After Chase, which, like much of his life before Chase, has been devoted to progressive politics and grassroots activism.

Even if you are holding off on registering, please let us know if you're seriously thinking of attending the CAA25 Reunion Weekend in New York, October 17-19, 2013. Six months out, we need to start making financial commitments to restaurants and historic places we will visit, and we need a headcount. Write to: news@chasealum.org.

Thirty-four people have registered so far for the 58 places available for "Option A" of the weekend. Learn more about the ways in which you can participate in this terrific event, which will include a visit to Hyde Park, peak foliage, Brooklyn adventures and, of course, time well spent with fellow alumni.

Next Sunday, April 28th, sees the 10th Annual Run for Fun sponsored by the Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation to raise awareness about lung cancer. There's always a strong Chase alumni presence there to remember and honor the former Chase CEO and president who died of the disease.

We continue to invite alumni to share "lessons learned" and memories from Credit Training (at any bank)...as well as stories about how you may have found true love at Chase (or whichever bank you worked at). We know there are more banking couples out there! Send your recollections to news@chasealum.org.

We're always eager for news and story leads for Life After Chase. Are you working with an interesting not-for-profit, either on staff or as a volunteer? Have you "reinvented" yourself since Chase? Do you have a hobby that has taken over your life and energy? If you think you have a story, please contact news@chasealum.org. Please note, though, that we only run stories about paid-up CAA members.

As always: If the links below do not work for you, you can always access the latest stories by logging on to CAA's web site (http://www.chasealum.org). If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to Ken Jablon (jablonkt@aol.com) or call Ken at 212-799-9525.
