Chase Alumni: A month to go!

Dear Reader,

Please click below for these stories:

The CAA members-only fall reception is a month away! Join the 78 alumni who have already signed up for the reception to be held on the 50th floor of the JPMorgan Chase Tower at 270 Park Avenue on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Admission is $30, and pre-registration and payment is required. Registration closes at 4 pm on Friday, October 24. If you've already registered, why not contact some former colleagues and encourage them to attend? Please also check the "Look Who's Coming" list to see that your name is listed as you want it on the name tag. Changes may be sent to news@chasealum.org.

More than half the places are already taken for the April 2015 CAA reunion, "The Netherlands You Don't Know #2", focusing on the country's relationship with water and flood prevention. The trip is limited to 60 participants and we've provided a link below to a list of registrants. We urge you to register now!

The second volume of DR: recollections by Chase alumni – delivered to DR for his birthday – is still available. It's a limited edition, so order now to secure your copy. (All copies ordered to date have been mailed. If you haven't received yours, please contact news@chasealum.org.) Although we've posted a PDF of the 28-page publication, viewable only by dues-paying CAA members, it's well worth having the printed copy!

Chase alumni might take special interest in Rory Kennedy's newly released documentary, Last Days in Vietnam, about the 1975 evacuation of the American Embassy in Saigon. Click below to read your colleagues' recollections of their part in evacuating Chase employees as Saigon fell to the North Vietnamese. If you have anything to add, please let us know. We're particularly interested in hearing from alumni who housed Vietnamese evacuees when they came to the United States and have added one such recollection below.

Looking for Lives After Chase!! Are you working with an interesting not-for-profit, either on staff or as a volunteer? Have you "reinvented" yourself since Chase? Do you have a hobby that has taken over your life and energy? If you think you have a story, please contact news@chasealum.org. Please note, though, that we only run stories about paid-up CAA members.
