CAA Alumni: To Find...or Be Found in the Member Directory

Dear Reader,

With so many new members, we thought it would be worth repeating our tips on how to search our online Membership Directory − one of the most important benefits of CAA membership. (To get to the Directory, look under Membership or Networking in the menu at the top of the home page.)

Your Member Alumni Search can be very broad or very specific. Here are a number of approaches:

− Enter the beginning and ending years that you were at Chase, and you will retrieve the name of any individual who was there when you were (many whom you probably forgot to remember)...

− Search by geography: by home or work city, state, zip, or country...

− Search by employer, profession, or job title.

While the most specific search is by an individual’s name, you don’t have to know it exactly. Say you remember that the name had “son” in it (i.e., Anderson, Larson, Sonnenfeld). Write “son” in the name search, and you will get everyone whose name includes the syllable “son.”

Another way to narrow a search is to put in more than one criterion. For example, you want to find a William who was at Chase when you were, but you don’t remember his last name. Put “William” in the name area and the years you worked at Chase, and you will get all the Williams who were at Chase during those years.

It’s easier to be found in the directory if you give information for all the sections of your profile. Check yours by going to My account in the upper right corner of the home page. Then click My Profile. If you need to add or change anything, click Edit Profile. If you want to add a photo, remember it has to be under 50KB. If you have a photo that you want help resizing and uploading, please send it to the
webmaster (aaxelrod1@nyc.rr.com). Also contact her if you want us to place on your profile page a photo of yourself that is part of an existing CAA photo album.

In other news: We have 27 registrants as of date for the Summertime Rendezvous in the High Desert Country of Oregon, but you know what F. Scott Fitzgerald said: Large parties are more intimate. We would love to have a final headcount by June 1st, so please register now.  By the way, for less athletically inclined alumni who were wondering how they might spend the Friday of the long weekend, check out the quilts extravaganza (http://www.sistersoutdoorquiltshow.org) in Sisters, Oregon, just 20 minutes from Bend.

As always: If the links below do not work for you, you can always access the latest stories by logging on to CAA's web site (http://www.chasealum.org).

If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to Ken Jablon (jablonkt@aol.com) or call Ken at 212-799-9525.

By the by: When you click into the stories below, don't forget to explore the rest of the CAA Web site. Just go to the top of the page and click on Home.
