Dear Reader,
After months of growing pains with our new website format, the membership profile is working again. While everyone should look to see if his or her profile is up-to-date, it is especially important for any members who joined after March of this year: Your profile will definitely not be correct. The new profile has some added components; for example, you can put in all your work experience, not just where you work now.
To update your profile, login at www.chasealum.org, click on "Welcome, [Your Name]!” and then “Update Profile.” When you have made all of the changes and additions, click on "Update profile” at the bottom of the page. To add a photo, just click on a photo on your computer and drag it to the photo space on your profile page.
The new Membership Directory that will match the new profile has not been completed. In the mean time, if you are looking for contact information for particular individuals, contact Ken Jablon, who has access to the entire CAA database.

The CAA mourns the death of its member Joseph Verner Reed, Jr., who worked at Chase Manhattan Bank from 1963 to 1981 and was David Rockefeller's closest associate for nearly 30 years. Remembrances should be sent to news@chasealum.org.
Our second annual contest for dues-paying members to guess this year's ending Dow closed on September 23rd. Now we have to wait until December 30, 2016 to learn who is the winner. We had 75 entries -- a high forecast of 20,842.60 (would that it will be!) and a low of 13,333,66 (the guesstimator originally predicted 2356.70 and wrote us, "This is the new America. Anything that is impossible is possible.") The median guess was 18,343 -- close to last Friday's close of 18,261.45.
