Chase Alumni: A New Year & Time to Update Profiles

Dear Reader,

WELCOME TO 2019! One of the benefits of membership in the Chase Alumni Association is use of the membership directory, but it is only as good as it is current. Won't you start out the year by reviewing and, if necessary, updating your account profile?

To do so, first log in. Then cllick on the home page menu bar where it says "Welcome, (Your Name)" and click on "Update Profile". Update and fill in missing sections. What’s particularly important is to have an up-to-date home address, as we use that to determine to whom we should promote local events and to write to you if your e-mail is no longer working. To change or add an address, click on the box under “Home and Work Addresses.” After updating or adding an address, click on “Save.”

If you have trouble uploading a photo, contact news@chasealum.org.

After making all your updates and additions, click on “Update Profile" at the bottom of the page.

In a subsequent Newsletter, we will have a section on how best to use the Membership Directory.

With the new year, we have revised the newsletter format. Links are from within the stories, not the headlines, and the newsletter is now in three sections:

  • News & Events, including links to photos from past events;
  • Life After Chase, about subsequent careers or activities that are apart from banking; and
  • In Memoriams.

  IN MEMORIAM

Please send remembrances to news@chasealum.org

With last week's recital of alumni who died in 2018, we received word of two additional alumni who died last year:

Edward Scherling, 73

Ed Scherling, who had worked in Chase Treasury Services, died on June 11, 2018.

John DeCicco

We do not know the date or whereabouts of his death. (Please write to news@chasealum.org if you have more information.) John served in the Chase Military branch. Some years ago we ran his account of those activities and the evacuation of Chase from Saigon.

 Marie J. Rega, 63

We only recently learned that Marie Rega died on November 14, 2016. She served Chase for 26 years, retiring as a Vice President in Human Resources.
