NEWS & EVENTS (PAST AND FUTURE)
theater party, for the 7 pm, Tuesday, June 2, 2026 performance of the new Broadway adaptation of the Oscar-winning film Dog Day Afternoon – based on the story of a robbery of a Chase branch in Brooklyn. The production stars Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, two stars of the Emmy Award-winning series The Bear.
As of 4 pm on February 16th, we still have available 11 of our 24 seats at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street) in the center Orchestra, Rows O, P and Q. The group rate is $159/per person, a savings of about $50 per ticket. Buy tickets here.
You will need to be a dues-paying member of the Chase Alumni Association to purchase tickets, and (as of now) will be able to buy up to two tickets. For more information, contact Andrea at news@chasealum.org.

Thank you to JPMC for increasing the number of people who can attend the reception it is hosting for the CAA at the new JPMC headquarters from 5:30 to 8 pm on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 270 Park Avenue.
IMPORTANT: No one will be admitted to the CAA gathering at 270 Park who isn't on our registration list, even if a paying member.
# Also let Andrea know if you want your name tag to read other than the way your name currently appears on the list.
TOURS & SPEAKER As part of this event, we are looking forward to being able to check out two of the main floors of the building. Tours will take place throughout the evening, and you will receive more details at the event. We will keep you posted on remarks from one of JPMC's senior leaders.
AUXILLIARY EVENTS:
►We had hoped to have a private lunch at Manhatta, the restaurant occupying the 60th floor of the former 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza, but the cost was prohibitive (about $300 per person). If you are interested in having lunch or dinner there in the regular dining room or bar area (which is less expensive), we suggest that you make your own reservation, perhaps with others on the CAA event RSVP list with whom you would like to spend more time. (The restaurant accepts reservations up to 28 days in advance of your visit.)
# Credit classes, geography-specific groups (e.g. LATAM) or business area groups (e.g., Treasury) that want to hold lunches or dinners around the reception date can work with us. (Joe Murphy and colleagues are organizing a luncheon for Credit Classes of the 1970s on Monday, April 27, and Manuel Peña-Morros is putting together a luncheon for LATAM alumni on Tuesday, April 28. Registration will open soon online. If you haven't received emails about these events and want to participate, please let Andrea know ASAP. "Old Asia Hands" are also invited to attend the Monday luncheon being organized by Joe Murphy.
Important note: Because our last two outings were plagued by rain, this year we ordered two groups of tickets:
- Section 110 / Rows: 29-30 / Seats 13-23 (22 Tickets): These seats are under an overhang.
- Section 109 / Row 24 / Seats: 1-10 (10 Tickets): These seats are closer to the field and one section closer to home base. (These seats are sold out.)
You must be a dues-paying member of the Chase Alumni Association to purchase tickets, and may buy up to four tickets. Log in first to the CAA website Because the tickets are subsidized by the CAA, we beg you to use them yourself. Do not purchase them for friends or relatives. Tickets are not refundable unless we can find other alumni who want to buy them.
Please remember: Citi Field does not accept tickets printed on paper. You must be able to use the MLB Ballpark app on a smart phone to access your tickets and enter the stadium.
Our tickets include admission to three special dining areas. (Names to come!)

You must be a dues-paying member of CAA to participate and may bring a plus-one. Please be sure to log in to the website before trying to register so that the store platform recognizes you as a dues-paying member.
The trip, which will take us from Palermo to Catania, will feature a memorable mix of art, great architecture, history, culture, natural wonders, private visits to palazzos, great food and wine, 4- and 5-star hotels and, of course, the comraderie of Chase alumni. By going in October, we'll avoid the crowds and heat: It's truly an ideal time of year to visit Sicily!
LIFE AFTER CHASE
 Martin Fraenkel may still be working in the financial field, but he is very active in the not-for-profit sphere, especially in his role as Chair of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. And he even got to play violin in a rehearsal with them!
His interview also includes various lessons he learned over the last 18 months (and eight surgeries).

CAA TECH CORNER WITH DAN ALVAREZ
In his 11th feature dedicated to defining emerging trends in technology (in plain English), CAA board member Dan Alvarez explains how AI agents are used, what jobs they might threaten and what positions may be in even greater demand. The article is long (but easy to read and engaging), so it's in two parts.
Dan's columns look at tech trends at a "100-level" for Luddites, brilliant (of course) but non-technologically inclined bankers and anyone else in the financial world embarrassed to ask basic questions while looking at the "big picture".

MILESTONE BIRTHDAYS

 # Laura Reiskin (formerly Bonsett) turns 80 next Saturday, February 28th. She began her career at Manufacturers Hanover in October 1988. After surviving all of the mergers, she retired from JPMC in March of 2006 as a Senior Vice President in Treasury and Security Services. As her husband is also turning 80 this year, "We decided the best way to celebrate was to create memories for us and our family. So we have planned several trips this year with each 'branch' of our blended family – some cruises, overseas tours, special NYC visits, and various family meals and warm weather activities. It should be a great year for us all," she said.
 Happy Birthday to intrepid CAA traveler Bob Mitchell, who turned 85 on January 30, 2026!
 Happy Birthday/Feliz Cumpleaños to Manuel Peña-Morros, who turns 80 on February 2, 2026.
Paul Didier (shown with his children, Mark and Aimee) celebrated his 90th birthday on January 10, 2026. A retired vice president, he started as a messenger for the Bank of the Manhattan Company in 1953 at age 17, before its merger with Chase National Bank to form the Chase Manhattan Bank. Didier ran the Chase Manhattan Payroll and Compensation Department and spent some time in the International Department, travelling on projects in Iran and Saudi Arabia and elsewhere, as well as several years in the Pension Trust Department. The highlight of his 37 years at Chase, though, was working directly for former Chairman David Rockefeller who was his boss, mentor and friend for five years until the Chairman retired. Didier planned all of DR’s domestic travel and accompanied him on all of his trips. As a result, Didier has been to all 50 U.S. states. He stayed in frequent contact with the former Chairman until DR died at age 101 in 2017.
IN MEMORIAM
 # Long-time CAA member and storied banker Rũdiger (Rudi) von Eisenhart-Rothe died on February 6, 2026 in Sotogrande, Spain. He led the London Loan Syndication Group among his many achievements during a four-decade career at Chase Manhattan. (A full In Memoriam is now online, along with a tribute from the London Loan Syndication Group.)
 Robert "Jim" Davies, who specialized in Trusts, Estates and Private Banking over a 40-year career at Chase Manhattan Bank, died in Falmouth, MA, on January 23, 2026. He was 89.

How Best to Use the CAA Membership Directory
 If you have not done so recently, please update the information in your profile, so that the CAA and other members would be better able to contact you. Using the Membership Directory is a privilege of dues-paying CAA members.
Here's a refresher on how to best use the directory to find an individual or groups of individuals you would like to contact. (Note that only dues-paying members have access to the directory.).
To get to the directory, log in at www.chasealum.org. On the home page menu, click on Membership and then Member Directory.
When searching by name, or in any of the other search areas, we advise starting by putting in less information in the search field.
For example, if you want to find William Smith, type only Smith in the Search by Name box; if you put in “William Smith” and he is calling himself Bill Smith in his profile, you will not find him.
If you want to find members who live near you, enter the city, state or country (or any combination) under Location.
The Years at Chase search is very valuable. Type in 1996-2005, for instance, and you will find everyone who worked for the bank (including heritage banks) during those years. Narrow your search by typing in a location or job title.
