NEWS & EVENTS (PAST AND FUTURE)
 # It finally felt like pre-pandemic days! More than 300 alumni attended the April 27th CAA reception so generously and graciously hosted by JPMorganChase at its new global headquarters at 270 Park Avenue.

The trip, which will take us from Palermo to Catania, will feature a memorable mix of art, great architecture, history, culture, natural wonders, private visits to palazzos, great food and wine, 4- and 5-star hotels and, of course, the comraderie of Chase alumni. By going in October, we'll avoid the crowds and heat: It's truly an ideal time of year to visit Sicily!
For JPMC, it was a very good year:
JPMorganChase Chair and CEO Jamie Dimon released his 2025 Annual Shareholder's letter today, April 6, 2026, offering three specific suggestions to "reignite the American Dream": 1) High schools and colleges should be judged by their outcomes — do the students graduate with job offers, and what do they pay? 2) We should double the Earned Income Tax Credit, which raises the income of our lowest-paid citizens, creates better social outcomes and has the virtue of incenting employment. 3) Now that we have strong border control, we should finish proper immigration reform. Dimon addresses these and other issues in these sections of the letter:
 If you want to hear more from Dimon, we recommend this lively exchange on The Axios Show, with Dimon interviewed by Axios Co-Founder and CEO Jim VandeHei – particularly his remarks about Iran: "On the Iran war, Dimon dismissed the criticism that there was no imminent threat facing the U.S.: 'They've been killing people around the world for 45-plus years. They've killed a lot of Americans. They've funded Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis ... they have terrorist cells here.'" Dimon also hinted at plans for his post-JPMC future.
LIFE AFTER CHASE
 Martin Fraenkel may still be working in the financial field, but he is very active in the not-for-profit sphere, especially in his role as Chair of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. And he even got to play violin in a rehearsal with them!
His interview also includes various lessons he learned over the last 18 months (and eight surgeries).

CAA TECH CORNER WITH DAN ALVAREZ
In his 11th feature dedicated to defining emerging trends in technology (in plain English), CAA board member Dan Alvarez explains how AI agents are used, what jobs they might threaten and what positions may be in even greater demand. The article is long (but easy to read and engaging), so it's in two parts.
Dan's columns look at tech trends at a "100-level" for Luddites, brilliant (of course) but non-technologically inclined bankers and anyone else in the financial world embarrassed to ask basic questions while looking at the "big picture".

IN MEMORIAM
# Click here for stories from the recent London memorial gathering for Rudi von Eisenhart-Rothe.
 Robert (Bob) A. Fischer, an executive in a number of Chase Manhattan domestic departments between 1969 and 1986, died on February 9, 2026, at his home in Ridgewood, NJ.
 Daniel A. Rockmore, a former SVP in International for Chase Manhattan, died on December 28, 2025. He was 89 and had been living in Kissimmee, FL.
George Lacen, a veteran manager for Chase Manhattan Western Hemisphere Operations & Systems between 1965 and 1993, died on February 21, 2026. We are waiting for additional information and confirmations, but we believe he was 90 and lived in Naperville, IL.
How Best to Use the CAA Membership Directory
 If you have not done so recently, please update the information in your profile, so that the CAA and other members would be better able to contact you. Using the Membership Directory is a privilege of dues-paying CAA members.
Here's a refresher on how to best use the directory to find an individual or groups of individuals you would like to contact. (Note that only dues-paying members have access to the directory.).
To get to the directory, log in at www.chasealum.org. On the home page menu, click on Membership and then Member Directory.
When searching by name, or in any of the other search areas, we advise starting by putting in less information in the search field.
For example, if you want to find William Smith, type only Smith in the Search by Name box; if you put in “William Smith” and he is calling himself Bill Smith in his profile, you will not find him.
If you want to find members who live near you, enter the city, state or country (or any combination) under Location.
The Years at Chase search is very valuable. Type in 1996-2005, for instance, and you will find everyone who worked for the bank (including heritage banks) during those years. Narrow your search by typing in a location or job title.
